Dedication of the Chapel of Christ's Stillness by Rev'd Joy Collins on 6th May 2022
Starting at 12.30 with a 'Bring and Share' Lunch . Followed by a Harvest Themed service at 2.30pm, with hymns reflecting Harvest.
Tea/Coffee and juice provided. ~ Money donations to go toward the upkeep of chapel.
Food donations 'dried or tinned goods only' will be given to the local foodbank.
Harvest festivals are believed to date back to ancient Britain when most people planted and grew their own food in fields.
Farmers gave thanks for a good harvest during the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, it was important because it meant they could store the food and eat well through the hard winter months.
